Welcome to the first inGenious Community of Practice (CoP) in the second cycle of the project. Running from 3 September until 12 October.
As you will most probably have noticed, the layout of the inGenious website has changed, and so has the the layout of the CoPs. However, not only the layout of the CoPs has changed, but also the structure of them. We took on board as many comments and suggestions as possible that were made by you during the inGenious Summer School which took place in Istanbul from 24-26 August 2012, with the aim of improving them and making them even more beneficial for inGenious teachers.
The new structure of the CoPs:
Duration: 6 weeks with new set up.
There will be 4 topics per CoP which will be open for discussions for the whole duration of the CoP, so 6 weeks. During the first 4 weeks the expert(s) and moderator will regularly answer questions and comments to keep the discussions running and alive. During the last 2 weeks of each CoP you will have the chance to still leave some comments and ask questions, but the expert(s) and moderator will only be answering sporadically to a few last questions.
In the "Your Comments" tab, next to Topic 4, you are given space to discuss with other teachers about things that might not be directly relevant for either of the 4 topics. In this section the expert(s) will not interfere or leave comments.
At the end of week 6 the expert will publish conclusions of the discussions in the "Conclusions" tab.
During the schoolyear 2012-2013 inGenious will host 9 different CoPs. About every 4 weeks a new CoP will start.
This Community will give you the possibility to:
- discuss with your fellow inGenious teacher colleagues how to improve various inGenious activities and events
- suggest topics that you would like us to cover during future CoPs, workshops, chats, etc.
- try to find solutions to possible organisational problems
- etc.
Topics to be discussed during this CoP:
Topic 1: Workshops & Summer School
Topic 2: Communities of Practice
Topic 3: Chats
Topic 4: General Discussion Forums
